English Premier League side Southampton FC starman Kamaldeen Sulemana will join the Ghana’s U-23 team in Morocco for the 2023 CAF U-23 Championship.
The former Stade de Rennes player has been handed a call-up by Ghana’s Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko for the tournament which serves as a ticket for the upcoming 2024 Olympic games in Paris France.
Sulemana will first be with the Black Stars team for the upcoming 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar in Antananarivo on June 18.
After the game, the young lad will team up with the Black Meteors team as Ghana looks forward to booking a place for the Olympic games for the first time since 2004 in Greece, Athens.
Sulemana scored a sumptuous and spectacular two goals in the English Premier League 2022-23 final day against Liverpool and will be brimming in confidence ahead of the tournament which stats on June 24 in Morocco.
He played for Ghana’s Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar and has one Africa Cup of Nations tournament under his belt which makes him experience enough for the upcoming event.
