Ghana home-based senior national team Black Stars B suffered defeat to their neighbours Burkina Faso by a lone goal.

Burkina Faso star player Stephane Yannick Pognongo got the solitary goal of the match in the second half to hand Les Étalons a crucial away win.

The Black Stars B team comprising mainly Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold players with two Hearts of Oak players among a few others failed to make the home advantage count as they lost the first leg of the last round of qualifiers for the CHAN championship which will be held in Cameroon.

The Stallions of Burkina Faso eliminated the Black Stars B in their last encounter for the last edition of the tournament which is represented by players playing in their respective native leagues.

Ghana’s Black Stars B would need a miracle to have any chance of making it to Cameroon when they travel to face Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou.
