St. Peters Senior High School in Ogbojo-Accra has commissioned a multi-purpose sports court as they seek to develop talents in the various disciplines.

The edifice which comprises basketball, handball, netball, volleyball and tennis court cost an estimated GHC10,000 and it was financed by the management of the school and the sports committee.

Speaking after the launch of the ultra modern facility in midweek, the sports master of the school (PE Tutor), Sylvester Otu Ansah thanked the top hierarchy of the school and was hopeful the edifice will help to groom talents to help Ghana as a whole.

“St. Peters SHS is one of the best private second-cycle schools in Ghana and we have taken sports as one of our key disciplines. We have competed in athletics and won medals in inter zonals and super zonals,” Ansah told Dailymailgh.com

“We are now going all out in other disciplines and I thank  the management of the school, especially the school owner for this project. Also the Sports Committee chairman Hubert Agbezuge, as well as members Godfred Foli, Emmanuel Ashie, Henry Ashitey and Eugenia Gozah. It will help us to churn more talents in sports for the school and Ghana at large.”

“Some of the children have in-built talents, not all of them will be academically good so such facilities will also help them to develop what they have,” Ansah noted.

St. Peters which has Creche, Primary, JHS, SHS, is seen as one of the best chain of private schools in the Greater Accra Region and are currently planning to set up a University.
