SuperSports United coach Kaitano Tembo is lamenting over the departure of his experienced players including Ghanaian defender Richard Kissi Boateng.

The Swanky Boys part ways with Gould, Reneilwe Letsholonyane, James Keene, Richard Boateng and Thuso Phala to inject fresh blood into their setup.

The SuperSports gaffer hinted he will miss the experience of the veteran players as the young ones will need time to get in shape.

“If you look at the players we have lost it’s up to 150 years of football experience [between them] because of their ages,” Tembo told Sowetanlive in relations to Boateng and his peers.

He added: “It’s always difficult losing experienced players but at the same time it’s an opportunity for youngsters to get to the next level. It also allows us to blend new blood into the squad.”

Boateng, 30, made five appearances in all competitions for SuperSports last season as they finished 7th in the PLS. He has previously featured for TP Mazembe in DR. Congo.
