Reverend Winfred Kwasi Afenyo of the Global Evangelical Church has urged ‘Press on Kids’ members and Ghanaian children as a whole not to despair in the face of daily socioeconomic and related challenges of life.

In a sermon at the double album launch of the ‘Press On Kids’, he indicated that to press on in life, children and everyone must dream big and take concrete actions towards realizing their dreams. He challenged them to memorize and sing the word of God at all times.

Emphasizing the need to help children press on as a way of safeguarding “our own future,” the Reverend Minister called on the government to do more to build a solid future for Ghanaian children so that they could take over some day as strong and morally upright leaders of the nation.

He further asked parents to celebrate their children as a way of encouraging them to do their best instead of always picking on their weaknesses which makes them lose confidence and fail to develop their potentials.

According to Mr. Worlanyo Afenyo, the Executive Director of the group the whole concept of ‘Press On Kids’ is to build confidence in these children, give them the platform to express themselves to become good citizens and leaders for both God and country, and most importantly to hide God’s word in their hearts so that these virtues would build them for the future.

According to him, the current trend of societal misdirection necessitated the birth of ‘Press On Kids’ to serve as an avenue to help raise good leaders for nation building as well as showcase their individual talents to the world.

‘Press On Kids’ is an inter-denominational group of children put together by Mr and Mrs Worlanyo and Dzidzoli Afenyo ro sing the gospel by “putting scripture to song”. This involves taking memory verses and composing them into music for easy memorization and recollection of scripture.

The albums ‘Sing the word’ volume two, and ‘Hymns We Love’, are available on all online stores for purchase. The Executive Director added that, it is a collection of popular hymns rendered in a child-friendly manner.
