This Ghanian-Lebanese is dubbed “The Most Beautiful West African Woman”

The Lebanese community in Ghana is sizeable and has left quite an impact on popular culture. A clear example of this is Juliet Ibrahim, a Ghanaian actress, film producer, singer, and humanitarian of Lebanese, Ghanaian and Liberian descent.

Juliet was born in Liberia to a Lebanese father and a Liberian mother. She is the eldest in her family with two sisters; Sonia and Nadia, and one brother. Juliet and her siblings spent the majority of their childhood traveling between Lebanon and the Ivory Coast with their family.

Juliet completed her primary education in Lebanon, then continued her secondary education in the Ivory Coast, where she lived with her parents.

She attended the Ghana Institute of Languages, where she studied English, French, and Spanish; languages she is fluent in.  She also studied Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations at the Ghana Institute of Journalism.

Ibrahim made her acting debut in the 2005 film Crime to Christ starring Majid Michel. She caught major attention in her first Nollywood film Yankee Boys and went on to be featured in over fifty films afterward. In 2014, she produced her first film Number One Fan, a movie she stars in as well.

In later ventures, Juliet directs a TV series called Every Woman Has A Story, which airs on Terrestrial TV, as well as stars in her own upcoming reality-tv show, The Perfect Assistant, which has yet to air.

Juliet won the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the 2010 Ghana Movie Awards for her role in 4 Play. She has been referred to as the “Most Beautiful West African Woman” according to A-listers Magazine.

Ibrahim’s other awards and accomplishments include the 2010 Achievement Award by City People Magazine, Accra; the 2010 Ghana Movie Personality of the Year Award by City People Magazine, Lagos; the 2014 Best Ghanaian Actress Award by City People Entertainment, as well as the 2016 Actress of the Year Award by Starzzawards.

Just recently, Juliet published a memoir titled A Toast To Life in which she chronicles her life journey and how her family survived wars across Liberia, Lebanon, and Côte d’Ivoire. Her book is about a girl who succeeded through difficult times and emerged successful.
