The legal officer of the Ghana FA’s Normalization Committee, Naa Adofoley Nortey, has urged the court to throw away a request from a disqualified candidate eyeing a seat in the FA.

The Committee is arguing that the process used in filing of the appeal to the court failed to follow laid-down procedure. According to Mr. Roy Arthur, he is unhappy with the decision of the Normalisation Committee to expel him from the race to contest the Central Region’s football association’s vacant chairmanship position.

Kwame Quayson, lawyer of Mr Arthur served the GFA with the writ on Friday to stop the elections which is scheduled to take place on October 25, 2019.

The GFA says “the writ of summons and statement of claim is defective” and prays the court to dismiss it on that basis.

The aspiring RFA chairman told the Accra High Court that the Normalisation Committee breached Article 5 (F) and Article 9 of the GFA regulations to disqualify him.
