A three-year-old boy has succumbed to injuries sustained in a weekend car crash involving popular Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as Lil Win.

The tragic news was confirmed to Kumasi-based Angel FM by the boy’s grandmother, Madam Victoria Nketiah. She revealed that her grandson, Richard, was in the vehicle with his father when it collided with Lil Win’s car.

Madam Nketiah recounted the harrowing details, stating that Richard was pronounced dead at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Emergency Center on the same day of the accident. His father is also receiving treatment at the same hospital.

The collision, which occurred at Amakom on Saturday (25 May) has left both the family and the wider community in mourning. It is not clear whether the actor and his team have visited to commiserate with the bereaved family.

A family source told Daily Mail GH that the processes are underway to release the body of the deceased for burial. An official complaint has been filed at the police station for investigations, the source said.

The accident happened just hours before the premiere of his movie titled “A Country Called Ghana” at the CCB Auditorium at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
