Two individuals, identified as the Secretary and Fiator of Sokode Gbogame, who were arrested following last Sunday’s violent clash between students of Sokode Senior High Technical School (SHTS) and local youth, have been granted bail.

The Asafofia, who was also taken into police custody, has similarly been released. Confirming these developments to Citi News, the assembly member for the area, Mac Billions Bansah, stated that authorities are taking steps to address the situation.

To prevent future incidents, a committee will be set up to investigate the cause of the clashes. The confrontation, which arose from undisclosed grievances, escalated tensions between the school and the community.

Authorities are expected to rely on the committee’s findings to resolve the underlying issues and implement measures to restore harmony.

Meanwhile, security remains on high alert in the area as stakeholders work towards ensuring lasting peace.
