Uber introduces tipping feature for drivers in Ghana

Uber drivers in Ghana can now receive tips from passengers just like their counterparts in the US, the transport company announced.

The aim is for riders to show appreciation to drivers for their services.

“You can now show your appreciation for going the extra mile by tipping your driver through the Uber app after the trip has been completed,” Uber announced on its Ghana blog.

However, it said the tipping service is only available to riders using card payments option on the Uber app.

Uber started operations in Ghana in June 2016.
