The Champions League playoffs between Etoile Sportive du Sahel and Asante Kotoko has been moved from Sousse to Monastir and will now kick off at 4pm instead of 7.An aide to the chairman of Kotoko, Nana Coker, told Kumasi-based Fox FM all is set at the team’s camp in Tunisia.
“Etoile officials told us they want the match moved from Monastir to Sousse but to us that won’t help us, so we told them and they’ve agreed, so the match will be played here in Monastir,” said Coker.
Coker noted the Porcupine Warriors have informed Africa’s football regulatory body about the development.
“We’ve communicated our displeasure to CAF and we’ve both (Kotoko and Etiole) agreed for the game to go ahead in Monastir. The match will be played at 4:00pm in Ghana time on Sunday “, he noted.
Kotoko go into the second leg game with a 2-0 advantage after beating Etoile in Ghana at Kumasi Sports Stadium.
