Black Stars striker, Raphael Dwamena was on target for Velje Boldklub against Aarhus on Monday.
The Ghana International scored a consolation for his team when they were down by 3-0 in the 71st minutes to give them hope going into the last 20 minutes of the match.
Shortly after Dwamena’s goal, Juhani Ojala scored the second goal for the visitors to set up a grand style finish to the pulsating encounter on the 85th minutes.
Benjamin Hvidt netted a 90th minutes goal for the host to make it 4-2 with just two minutes left on the clock.
The match ended 4-2 as host AGF Aarhus recorded their first win in the season’s opener at home.
The former UD Levante forward, Dwamena played a competitive first game after it was reported that he is suffering from heart failure.
The 25-year-old has a goal in his first league game for the newly promoted team and would hope for more the same performance to get back into the national team ahead of 2020 World Cup qualifiers.
