Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew opened his account in the English Championship on Saturday afternoon in Swansea City’s victory over Wycombe Wanderers FC.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian attacker stretched beyond his limit to poke home the opening goal in the first half after 13 minutes following a cross from Jake Bidwell to give the Swans the lead.

Ten minutes later, the former Marseille man drilled a low ball across the face of the goal to locate teammate Jamal Lowe who scored from close range to put the visitors two goals clear half way through the first half.

Swansea City dominated the first half of the match and were the better side going into the interval.

After the recess, the complexion of the match swang in the host’s favour for the first 15 minutes before Swansea found their feet into the match making it a dingdong affair.

The visitors remained intact at the back and did not give any chances away to host who are yet to score a goal in the Championship after their promotion.

It finished 2-0 to the visitors who are without a defeat in three league games this campaign.

Ayew has a goal and assist to his credit this season in 270 minutes for the Jack Army.
