Video: Ghana’s Ekuban on target as Trabzonspor trash Rizespor

Ghanaian forward Caleb Ekuban was on target as Turkish league leaders Trabzonspor thrashed Rizespor on Saturday.

The Ghanaian forward who has been struggling with injury this season scored his team’s second goal in their 5-2 mauling of Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Dario Melnjak scored the only goal of the first half of the match on the 36th minutes to put the away team in front before half time.

Manuel Dacosta levelled for the host with 25 minutes left to play with a fine goal, making it 1-1 with all to play for in the last 25 minutes.

Ekuban scored from close range into the bottom corner of the left post following a corner kick to make it 2-1 to the host with 19 minutes left on the clock.

Jose Sosa converted a spot kick six minutes later to make it 3-1 before Anthony Nwakaeme made it 4-1 on the 86th minute.

Milan Skoda reduced the deficit to two in the 90th minute from the spot before Badou Ndiaye made it 5-2 to Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor return top of the league after their emphatic win at home.
