Ghanaian winger, Soloman Asante scored in Phoenix Rising Stars FC quarter-final final win over Sacramento Republic FC in the USL Championship playoffs.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian attacker scored the only goal of the match for his team as they narrowly beat their opponents 1-0 to secure a place in the semi-final.

After a goalless 90 minutes, the match traveled to extra time and Asante found the back of the net with a sweet little header one minute to the end of the first period of extra time to put his team in front.

The Ghana International’s goal was enough to secure a vital win for the Red and Blacks as they continue to search for promotion into the MLS next year.

Asante was adjudged Man-Of-The-Match and has seven goals and nine assists for his team in the USL.

Phoenix Rising will meet Reno FC in the semi-final.
