Video: Patrick Twumasi scores a scorcher in Gaziantep’s dramatic draw at Galatasaray

Ghana’s Black Stars striker, Patrick Twumasi was on target for Turkish side Gazisehir Gaziantep FK on Sunday evening.

The 26-year-old attacker came from the bench to replace Guray Vural when his team was 2-1 down.

Four minutes after his introduction, Gaziantep found themselves 3-1 behind with just half of the second 45 minutes left to play.

12th minutes from full time, the Ghanaian forward picked up a pass on the left side of attack and found his way past the opposing defender to fire home a long drive from outside the box to the bottom left corner to set up a grand style finish to the match.

Deep into additional time, the visitors drew level only for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) to disallow the goal for an earlier foul in favour of the host.

Just when it looked like the drama was over and Galatasaray were going home with all three points, the visitors were award an indirect free kick which led to a spot kick Alexandru Maxim was brought down which he made no mistake to slot home the equalizer for the visitors.

The final score was 3-3 after a frenetic finish to the match.

Twumasi has nine goals involvement this season in the Turkish Super Lig this campaign.
