The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary aspirant COP Alex Mensah says Ghanaians are suffering and can therefore not give former President John Mahama any honeymoon should he win power.
“How can we give you honeymoon? We see people suffering, people are suffering in this country and you want us to give you honeymoon, it means he has no policy,” the controversial retired policeman told Joy News.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer last week told a gathering in the Volta region that he need some space to put things in order should he win the December polls.
Meanwhile, the ruling New Patriotic Party heads to the polls on Saturday in a nationwide primaries to elect parliamentary candidates for the party head of the December polls.
The maverick ex-policeman is facing stiff in the Bekwai contest.
