Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh (aka Napo), the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Friday (2 August) made a trip to multiple centers hosting the just-ended mop-up voter registration exercise across the campuses of the University of Ghana, UPSA, and GIMPA.
Accompanied by the leadership of the NAPO_INSPIRES Initiatives, Dr. Opoku Prempeh’s visit coincided with the just-ended mop-up voter registration exercise. He took the opportunity to interact with students and ensure they were well-supported, despite the challenging early morning weather conditions.
Expressing his appreciation for the Electoral Commission, Dr. Opoku Prempeh commended their diligent efforts in advancing democracy in Ghana. He highlighted the crucial role they play in ensuring free and fair elections, recognizing their work as vital to the nation’s democratic process.
For leadership of NAPO_INSPIRES Initiatives, the tour did not only showcase his empathy and genuine interest but also positioned the NPP positively as the general elections approach.
The team said the collaborative effort has instilled confidence among tertiary students, signalling strong support for the governing party.
