Ghana Premier League powerhouse Ashgold have assured Ghanaians about their safety in Equatorial Guinea after being left stranded by their opponents.

The Miners tweeted on their official Twitter handle to give their fans and Ghanaians in general hope concerning their stay in Malabo after news surfaced that Akonangui FC played innocent by not meeting the team at the airport.

“We are currently lodging at “Hotel de Federaciones” in Malabo”, the club tweeted.

“We depart for Ebebiyin tomorrow morning 7:00AM through Mongomeyen”.

Ashantigold are expected to arrive in Ebebiyin Friday ahead of the much anticipated game against Equatorial Guinean side Akonangui FC over the weekend.
