Mohammed Kudus says the Black Stars team let down the country after the players inability to progress to the next stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.

The midfielder has shown disappointment and remorse towards the football fans by apologizing for the catastrophic display at the FIFA Mundial especially in the last group game against Uruguay.

According to him, the players let down the people when they needed them most to make it out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup group H against Uruguay, the team that eliminated Ghana from the 2010 FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa 12 years ago.

“A team is like a puzzle, every jigsaw piece is important to solve a problem or complete a picture.”

“When Ghana needed us the most, collectively by our arts we painted an unpleasant picture souring 12 years of pain. As a team we take responsibility for letting Ghana down but we pick the positives to grow.”

“History has proven that the most valuable arts came from good to great with time & purpose. Thank you for the love & support”, he wrote on social media.

Mohammed Kudus scored two goals in three games at the World Cup and also provided a crucial assist for Andre Ayew when Ghana faced Portugal in the first game of the tournament.

His two goals came against South Korea in Group H at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan in the second game of the tournament and won the Man-Of-The-Match award after the game.
