Ghana’s Black Stars captain Andre Ayew has stated that the four-time Africa Cup of Nations champions will challenge powerhouse, Brazil on Friday despite the gap in quality.
He named the South American country as the best in the world with players winning in every league.
The Ghanaian captain urged Ghanaians not to compare the Black Stars team to Brazil.
Nonetheless, the Ghana leader promised the team will give the Brazilians a run for their money.
“Brazil is currently for me the best in the world so we’re playing against the best and we have to acknowledge that. They have players in the top top clubs, week in week out winning trophies.”
“We are not going to compare ourselves to them, that will be making a mistake but we are going to challenge [them] and we are going to go into the battle.”
” At the end, we will see what is going to happen but I believe in the squad,” he told the press ahead of Brazil clash tomorrow.
Ghana will face Brazil at 6:30 PM on Friday and will also come up against Nicaragua on Tuesday.
