Former president John Dramani Mahama has reiterated the opposition NDC’s readiness to ensure that every vote is protected and counted during the 2024 general elections.
Speaking to party executives and sympathizers in Bole on Monday (1 January) as part of the New Year celebration, the 2024 presidential candidate emphasized that the NDC will approach the 2024 elections with utmost seriousness.
“Ghanaians are ready for you but are you ready for them?” he quizzed adding: “You can only be ready if you take your work seriously and make sure you can protect their votes so that NDC can win the election come 2024”.
“[Election 2024] is not going to be business as usual; we are going to approach this election as if it is life and death. We must go after every single vote and when that vote is cast we must make sure that we defend every single vote”.
He further urged party executives in the region not to be complacent in their duties, assuring them that the party is working to provide the necessary resources for them to effectively carry out their work in their respective constituencies.
“God has opened the way but we don’t need to assume as if we have won the elections already”, he added.
