The head coach for Ghana’s Black Meteors Ibrahim Tanko has declared his team’s readiness to face Egypt on Monday.
Speaking to the press in his pre-match conference, the Meteors coach revealed that his boys are ready for the game against the host of the ongoing Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
“We know how dangerous the Egyptians can be but I am highly confident in my boys’ ability to deliver in such difficult matches,” he said.
However, coach Tanko admitted that it is not going to be easy for his boys playing against the host.
“We know that the task ahead is not going to be an easy one for us, especially playing with the supporters behind their team but as I said I am very confident in my team and I believe they will play without fear to make every Ghanaian proud.”
“There’s no pressure on us because we are preparing very well for the match and I believe victory will be ours come tomorrow against our opponent, Insha Allah”, he added.
Ghana drew their first game against Cameroon last Friday and would be hoping to register their first win to have any chance of making it to the next round of the competition while their opponents beat Mali 1-0 in their opening Group A encounter.
Ghana will play host nation Egypt on Monday, November 11 at 6pm
