Ashantigold defender Eric Donkor is optimistic of their chances against Akonangui in the CAF Confederations Cup game on Saturday.

The Miners are hosting the the Equatorial Guinea side in Obuasi on Saturday and Donkor insists they have done enough to get the needed points.

“So far so good for us, we have done two weeks of serious preparations for the game. Every player is giving his maximum best for the course,” Donkor told Dailymailgh.com

He added: “My personal expectations is for us to scale this hurdle and go all out in the competition. As a group, our target is to win the Confederations Cup and we will take it one game after another.”

The former Kotoko left-back further mentioned that they are very cool with new Brazilian manager Da Rocha and everybody is ready to contribute his quota.

“What I will say now is that the boys are comfortable and willing to play under Coach Da Rocha. He is a good person and he is trying to build a family.”
