Burkina Faso international Sogne Yacouba has been registered by Asante Kotoko in their African Club campaign, Dailymailgh.com can confirm.

Speaking to the Public Relations Officer of the club, Sarfo Doku revealed that the player who has been on revolt for sometime now was part of the players whose names were submitted to CAF by the club.

“Yacouba is still our player because we have a running contract with him though he refused to pen down a new contract offered to him by the club,” Doku said.

“It is never true that we excluded or omitted Yacouba from our squad as speculated by some media houses,” Doku revealed.

According to Mr Doku, the dangerous Burkinabe attacker is still in his native country after he informed management about the death of his relative.

“We are looking forward to his return to the country on Monday to start training with the team”, Doku added.
