Youngster Edmund Addo receives call-up for Ghana-Nigeria World Cup playoffs

Coach Otto Addo has handed our invitation to Moldova-based midfielder Edmund Addo for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria this Friday, Dailymailgh.com can confirm.

The young defensive midfielder was part of the Ghana AFCON team and will be in camp again with the Black Stars team for the two games against the Super Eagles. 
 
The 21-year-old midfielder is in the team yet to be announced by coach Otto Addo and his technical team for the cliffhanger game against the Nigeria. 
 
Addo has played 29 matches in all competitions for his club FC Sheriff Tiraspol this campaign in the Moldovan top-flight scoring one goal and providing two assists in the league. 
 
He played at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon where Ghana excited the competition at the group stage following a humiliating defeat to minnows Comoros.
